Monster Island, the Asylum’s 2019 mockbuster was released at the same time that Godzilla: King of the Monsters. The film is about the mysterious island where a monstrous creature resides, and in a sense the creature is the island itself.


To keep costs low, the film only follows a few human (Monster Island Asylum movie) characters. All A-listers are on one set so they can shoot all their sequences while having lunch. Let's not forget, this is a film about kaiju, so it's pretty much how they work. Maybe The Asylum will be able to do a good job with it.
